2020 Chevrolet Era By Yana Briggs (Video)

2020 Chevrolet Era, Future car
Big automobile companies aren’t usually associated with projects that warm the hearts of environmentalists but this General Motors-sponsored project is truly a breath of fresh air in more than one ways. Conceptualized by Lithuania-born Yana Briggs, the 2020 Chevrolet Era has been nicknamed the “Cleaner” by its designer and comes packed with some awesome planet-friendly features.

2020 Chevrolet Era, future vehicle
The 2 + 2 design proposes to have active light collector panels housed on the top of it while the model’s concave spherical surface would maximize the available area to the panels that would absorb sunlight to generate electricity to power the beast.

Streamlined lights placed along the car’s sides would indicate the charging process while a built-in O2 filter exhaust oxygen renewal system would cleanse the incoming polluted air as you drive.

DUNO Electric Car By Ben Herron

DUNO, Electric Car, Ben Herron
What if there was an intriguing concept that fused both the forms and advantages of a car and a cycle? It may seem revolutionary to some, while it is quirky for others. However, the truth of the matter is it’s not that far-fetched because vehicle designer Ben Herron has exactly done that with his exclusively unique DUNO concept. The concept, in the designer’s own words, is a part electric car and a part unicycle!

DUNO, Electric Vehicle, Ben Herron
Everything about this petite vehicle has been meticulously planned to the core, starting from the energy efficient and low emission mode of the ride to the flexibly adaptable car features for optimum comfort. Aimed at urban commuters, the distinctive feature that really does stand out is its two detachable unicycles, which actually replace the back wheels.
DUNO, Future Green Car, Ben Herron
The car as a whole will conform to a compact form, which makes it easy to spurt through the congested city streets, and also considerably lessens the delirium of our everyday parking woes. And when the situation gets even worse, you can just separate those electric unicycles, and gingerly scoot your way to work. The designer even envisages a complete system where the vehicles can be recharged with an under-car charging component installed at the parking spaces.
DUNO, Future Eco Car, Ben Herron
The all-electric two-seater will feature a sturdy 80 hp engine, with a range of 100 km. The compactness is rather accentuated upon by the vertical door opening systems. Additionally, the car will also have a reversible interior (where one can switch from right hand drive to left hand drive) and interior indicators in the doors and wheels. At last coming to the other component, i.e. the unicycle, it will incorporate a recharging system powered by pedaling. Moreover, the minimalist form will take up nominal storage space. Therefore, if you want to make an unconventionally appealing ‘green’ statement, this is surely the way to go.

Lexus LS 600h L Landaulet (Video)

Lexus LS 600h L Landaulet
The wedding would be a grand affair, marked with the transition from the marriage venue in a specially built Lexus LS 600h L Landaulet. The car is the most expensive hybrid in the market till date, and it commands all the respect it gets.
Being a convertible limousine, the car has been designed in a manner to ensure maximum privacy to the riders. The driver’s place is shut off completely, while the back of the car is converted into a transparent saloon.
Lexus LS 600h L Landaulet
Lexus has collaborated with Belgian coach builder Carat Duchatelet, and about 2000 hours were put in for the designing of the car model, owing to the complications involved. The roof has been made with poly-carbonate and is 8 mm thick, while it weighs 26 kg.To make the car absolutely picture perfect, with every detail in place, a lot of emphasis was given on the designing.
The chassis was completely refurbished and the interiors decorated with class. The hybrid looks a stunner now that it has been designed and is ready to go on its maiden voyage. Just a quick note about the car; apart from the barrage of designer features, the car is electric and has 0% emission, making it a winner all the way.

Zeleritas Concept Car By Willie Tay

Zeleritas, Future Car, green vehicle, Willie Tay
The Zeleritas electric racing concept by designer Willie Tay combines current & future driving technologies with hard styling into a single passenger roadster with a straight-from-the-track feel. A monocoque carbon fiber body, retractable glass hard top, & exposed wheels give it an Indy car edge while modern features like the HUD active matrix windscreen, paramagnetic body paint, & discreet integrated lights enhance both the visual and driving experiences. One of the most attractive racing designs I’ve seen since the Ford Indigo.

Lotus Flower Concept Car By Yi Guo

Lotus Flower, Future Car, Yi Guo
The Chinese are a race known for their extreme knowledge in every field. They excel in whatever they do and they are the leading country today, developed and looking for more development. The recent discovery however, is by Yi GUO, a young boy who is a budding talent in the automobile industry. His creation is inspired by the structure of the lotus flower! The concept of building a car based on the structure of this flower is something only they can do. The purpose of this is to solve lots of parking issues taking into consideration the near future. Lotus flower gains power from electric wheel motor in the back wheel and this structure too is inspired by lotus flower petal. By creating a compact car like this, he is trying to sort traffic jams across the city.

Lotus Flower, Future Vehicle, Yi Guo
The sole motive behind building this car is to reduce the traffic jams that cause congestion in the city. The plan is not only to make these lotus cars but also to have separate provision for parking them. This means that the parking slots for lotus cars will be different; facing the sun so that the cars get charged. This takes less of space as the car in itself is quite sleek. The initiative is being taken so that there is more space to drive on the roads of crowded places like Shanghai and Beijing.
Eco vehicle, Lotus Flower, Futuristic Car, Yi Guo
This concept may turn out to be very expensive as a lot of infrastructure will be needed to make room for lotus parking. Another expense would be of the solar panels that are needed to charge these kind of cars.
Lotus Flower, Green Car, Yi Guo
To have a vision is one thing and to execute it is another. If Yi GUO feels the need to bring about the concept of the lotus car, it is only keeping in mind the reduction in traffic jams once this hits the market. The lotus shape will just prove beneficial in the near future by consuming less parking space and in turn reducing jams on the roads.

Sunbeam Tiger Concept By Ryan Skelley

Sunbeam Tiger, Electric vehicle, Ryan Skelley
With the advancements in the field of batteries and electric motors, new transportation concepts are popping up, promising high performance and stylish design. The new “Sunbeam Tiger Concept” is another concept that can answer the question raised on the performance and speed of electric cars as compared to other vehicles. The concept was designed as a part of final year project of Coventry University’s design course by Ryan Skelley. It’s a two-seater lightweight vehicle powered by a lithium-titanate battery pack. That means a zero emission engine with better performance.

Sunbeam Tiger, Green vehicle, Ryan Skelley
If you remember, the Sunbeam Tiger holds the land speed record achieved in 1925. This new concept can be considered as a rebirth of its previous version. Theoretically, the vehicle can achieve a 0-60 mph speed in 2.3 seconds and can go up to an electronically limited 160mph top speed. Once the battery is fully charged, which will take 4 hours with an optional charger, the Sunbeam can take you up to 800 miles. It’s not at all a bad performance for an electric car.
Sunbeam Tiger, Electric Car, Ryan Skelley
A zero emission engine is not the only factor that makes this ride environmentally friendly, but even the materials used in construction also include eco-friendly material. Recycled aluminum makes the chassis that also features integrated rollover protection for the user. Body panels are made from hemp fiber and are eco-painted as well. Further, making it more ethical, the design incorporates an interior made from soy foam seats covered with natural bio-fabric.
Wait, it wasn’t the last eco-friendly feature; lastly we have tires made up of cornstarch and natural fiber for the brake pads. Honestly, if this concept ever hits the road, it will be a green landmark.

Green Bug By Wan Xuan Lim

Green Bug, Future Vehicle, Wan Xuan Lim
Green plants specially trees give streets and roadsides a very fresh and relaxed sight. They not only provide shade but also filter air making it clean for living beings. But like anything else even trees need to be maintained. Lim Wan Xuan with her teammates Tang Xueling Jane, Dominic Poon Chit Hong, Joanne Teoh Ee Mei has designed Green Bug which will be of great help in terms of urban agriculture.

It will give every tree its own unique identity, as every tree will be clipped with a chip which will work in association with GIS system. This will act as an interconnected system facilitating a lot of tree maintenance processes. With the help of RFID and GIS systems, it will become easy to scrutinize and handle/cure trees. This cute and compact vehicle will give trees in Milan an all new life. The car is powered by an air engine as electricity is used to compress air in the air tanks. This makes sure that are no emissions from the vehicle.
Green Bug, future car, Wan Xuan Lim
It has a compact telescopic seat platform that makes good use of gyroscopic sensor technology along with vertical lift hydraulic technology. Trees can be pruned with the help of an innovative waterjet technology, to keep them in a healthy state. Charging the battery of Green Bug doesn’t come with any special instructions. It takes 3-4 hours to get fully charged with electricity or if you take the car till a fuel station, refueling will hardly consume 2-3 minutes of your life. A single charge will allow Green Bug to cover 200-300 km.
Milan is one fashion conscious place and even trees there will soon turn stylish with technology fitted into them.
